The Water’s Edge Cabins offers two designed waterfront retreats inspired by Nordic simplicity. Thoughtfully designed for slow mornings, meaningful gatherings, and unforgettable stays along the Ottawa River in beautiful Waltham, Quebec.
Nestled right on the water’s edge, thoughtfully designed to feel welcoming, relaxed, and deeply comfortable Together, the property features six beautifully appointed bedrooms and two full bathrooms, making it ideal for families, couples, retreats, and group getaways year-round.
Guests enjoy private access to a large sandy beach with a gentle shoreline perfect for children, along with breathtaking sunset views and the peaceful rhythm of life on the water.
Inside, warm natural textures, curated interiors, layered textures and deeply restful spaces.
Cabin One — The Original Waterfront Cabin
Originally renovated in 2011, Cabin One offers timeless charm with an open-concept layout designed for gathering and connection. The cabin features:
- three comfortable bedrooms with double beds
- a spacious living and dining area
- a fully equipped designer kitchen
- panoramic river views
- inviting indoor and outdoor spaces for relaxing year-round
Cabin Two — The Loft Cabin
Cabin Two blends modern comfort with elevated Nordic-inspired design. This thoughtfully designed loft-style retreat includes:
- a grand primary suite with a king bed
- a second bedroom with a king bed
- a queen Murphy bed located in the flexible bonus space with convenient private exterior access through double doors
Cabin Three — The Seasonal Bunkie
The cozy seasonal Bunkie offers an additional queen bed for extra guests and is available from May through October.
Each four-season cabin features a beautifully equipped kitchen with high-end appliances, perfect for culinary enthusiasts who enjoy gathering over memorable meals and relaxed evenings together.
Guests also have access to:
- a spacious solarium dining area seating 12+ guests (seasonal — closed during winter months)
- large outdoor deck spaces (seasonal)

Driving Directions
From Ottawa (Approx. 2 hours)
- Take Highway 417 West toward Pembroke.
- Continue as Highway 17 toward Pembroke/Petawawa.
- Cross into Quebec via the Pembroke bridge toward Fort-Coulonge/Waltham.
- Follow Route 148 East along the Ottawa River.
- Turn onto Chemin Lamarche in Waltham.
- Continue to the waterfront cabins at number 118.
The drive itself is part of the experience — winding river views, forests, charming Pontiac villages, and quiet countryside roads create a slow and relaxing transition into cottage life.
From Toronto (Approx. 5–5.5 hours)
- Take Highway 401 East to Highway 115 North.
- Continue to Highway 7 East toward Ottawa.
- Join Highway 417 West toward Pembroke.
- Follow the Ottawa directions above into Waltham.
From Montreal (Approx. 3.5–4 hours)
- Take Autoroute 40 West toward Ottawa.
- Merge onto Highway 417 West toward Pembroke.
- Continue through Pembroke and cross into Quebec.
- Follow Route 148 East to Waltham.
Arrival Experience
As you approach the property, the roads become quieter and more scenic, eventually opening to expansive Ottawa River views. The cabins sit directly on the water with a large sandy beach, sauna, firepit, and generous outdoor gathering spaces designed for slow mornings and sunset evenings.

Incredible stay at a stunning property!
Our group of 13 ranging in age from 1 - 65 had an incredible time. The cottage is spotless and decorated to perfection with attention to all the small details. The location is spectacular on a quiet stretch of lake with the most beautiful sunsets. The sandy beach kept are little travellers occupied for hours!Judy and Robert were exceptional hosts. Very responsive and went out of their way to make our trip incredible for all ages.We will definitely be returning!
